How do I use AI Capture in Coday?

Screenshot an order details page and hand it to Coday: AI fills in the name, price, date and currency, and you check it and save. On any platform you can share the screenshot to Coday or pick it inside the app; on iPhone you can also use Back Tap or the Action button, and on iPad AssistiveTouch. It needs sign-in: 1 a day free, 20 with Premium.

Android and HarmonyOS: share the screenshot

  1. Take a screenshot of the order details page in your shopping app.
  2. Tap Share after taking it (or share it from your gallery), then choose "AI Capture" (on HarmonyOS it's labeled "AI记物").
  3. Coday opens and reads it. Check the name, price and date, then save.

iPhone

Share the screenshot

  1. Take a screenshot of the order details page.
  2. Tap the screenshot thumbnail in the bottom-left corner, tap the Share button, then choose "Coday".
  3. Don't see "Coday" the first time? Scroll the app row to the end, tap More and turn it on.
  4. Coday opens and reads it. Check the details and save.

Back Tap or the Action button (iOS 16 and later)

Add a shortcut once, and from then on you don't need to screenshot or share: one tap on the order page and it's read.

  1. In Coday, go to You → Settings → AI Capture, tap "Add Shortcut" and add it in the Shortcuts app. If you added it before, choose "Replace".
  2. Put it on one of these:
    • Back Tap: open iPhone Settings → Accessibility → Touch → Back Tap → Double Tap, and choose "Coday AI Capture".
    • Action button (on iPhones that have one): open iPhone Settings → Action Button, swipe to Shortcut, and choose "Coday AI Capture".
  3. On an order details page, double-tap the back of your iPhone (or press and hold the Action button). When it's done, a panel pops up. Check the items and tap Save.

iPad

Share the screenshot

Same as iPhone: tap the screenshot thumbnail, tap the Share button, then choose "Coday".

AssistiveTouch (iPadOS 16 and later)

iPad has no Back Tap or Action button, so put the shortcut on AssistiveTouch:

  1. In Coday, go to You → Settings → AI Capture, tap "Add Shortcut" and add it.
  2. Open iPad Settings → Accessibility → Touch → AssistiveTouch, turn on AssistiveTouch, then under Custom Actions set Double-Tap to "Coday AI Capture".
  3. On an order details page, double-tap the AssistiveTouch button on screen. When it's done, a panel pops up. Check the items and tap Save.

Pick a screenshot inside the app

If the screenshot is already in your photos, you don't need to share it: start adding an item in Coday, tap the "Add Item" title at the top of the form, choose "Scan order screenshot with AI" and pick the screenshot. The name, price and date are filled in for you. This works on every platform.

Limits and sign-in

  • You need to be signed in. It's 1 a day free and 20 a day with Premium; sharing, the shortcut and picking in the app all count toward the same daily limit.
  • Used them up? Try again tomorrow, or get Premium.

Is my screenshot uploaded?

No. Text recognition runs on your device, and only the recognized text goes to the server for AI to turn into an item. Names, phone numbers and addresses are removed before it's sent.

It didn't find anything

If you see "Couldn't find items in this screenshot", take a new screenshot on the order details page and try again.
