Guide
How-to answers for Coday: how cost per day and cost per use are worked out, how to log one-off purchases, subscriptions and consumables, how AI Capture, reminders, widgets, sync and multiple currencies work, where your data is kept and how to restore deleted items, and what Premium adds. Each page answers in its first paragraph.
How does Coday work out cost per day, cost per use and cost per unit?
Cost per day = (price + additional costs − money from selling it) ÷ days in use. The day you buy it counts as day 1 and paused days are left out, so a $999 phone used for two years comes to about $1.37 a day. Things you use now and then get a cost per use, consumables a cost per unit, and subscriptions a daily cost from the current charge.
How do I log a one-off purchase, a subscription or a consumable in Coday?
When you add an item, tap Pricing (it starts on "One-off · Per day"). Pick One-off for something you buy once, with Per day or Per use; Subscription for anything charged each period; and "One-off · Consumable" for things that run out, like tissues or cat litter. A price and a date are enough to save, and you can fill in the rest later on the item's page.
How do I use AI Capture in Coday?
Screenshot an order details page and hand it to Coday: AI fills in the name, price, date and currency, and you check it and save. On any platform you can share the screenshot to Coday or pick it inside the app; on iPhone you can also use Back Tap or the Action button, and on iPad AssistiveTouch. It needs sign-in: 1 a day free, 20 with Premium.
What reminders does Coday have, and how do I change how many days ahead they come?
Coday reminds you about renewals, restocks, when something pays off, trial ends, parts running low, and key dates like warranty and shelf life, at 9 AM on the day. Each reminder has its own advance notice: renewals 3 days before, trial ends and run-outs 2 days before, dates 7 days before, and pay-off on the day. To change one, tap it under You → Reminders, or tap its reminder on the item's page. No Premium or sign-in needed.
How do I add Coday widgets to my Home Screen, and which ones are free?
On iPhone, iPad, Android and HarmonyOS you can add Coday's Item Card and Statistics Card to your Home Screen: touch and hold an empty spot, find Coday, and add one. The Item Card comes in three types, latest, rotating and pinned. Latest Item and the Statistics Card are free; rotating and pinned need Premium. iPhone and iPad need iOS 17 or later.
How do I sync Coday across my devices?
Get Premium and sign in to the same account on each device, and Coday syncs on its own between Android, iPhone, iPad and HarmonyOS, with no switch to turn on. When two devices are both open, a change on one shows up on the other straight away, photos and attachments included. On the free version, signing in keeps your data on that device only; nothing goes to the cloud.
How does Coday convert between currencies?
Turn on You → Settings → Currency → Multi-Currency and each item can have its own currency. Home totals are converted to your main currency one payment at a time, each at the rate on the day it happened: the purchase date for the price, the charge date for each renewal, and the restock or sale date for those. An item's own averages stay in its own currency. It's free and needs no sign-in.
Where does Coday keep my data, and how do I get back an item I deleted?
By default your data is kept on your phone, and you can use Coday without signing in. With Premium, signing in syncs it to the cloud so it's there on a new device too. Deleted items go to Recently Deleted for 30 days: go to You → Settings → Recently Deleted and tap Restore to bring one back. After 30 days it can't be restored.
What's the difference between Coday Free and Premium, and how do I cancel my subscription?
Coday Free has unlimited items and everything except five extras that come with Premium: sync across devices, rotating and pinned widgets, 20 AI Captures a day, no ads, and more views and colors. To cancel a monthly or yearly plan, turn it off where you bought it: Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iPhone and iPad, or Payments & subscriptions in Google Play. Alipay purchases don't renew, so there's nothing to cancel.
