How do I keep track of all my subscriptions and get reminded before they renew?

Updated

Keep every subscription's price, billing cycle and next charge date in one place, sorted by when they're charged, and you'll know what you pay each month and when the next charge lands. In Coday: log each one as "Subscription · Per day" with its price per period, cycle and start date. The Subscription view on Home lines them up by next charge, with your monthly total and what that comes to per day at the top, and you're reminded 3 days before each renewal. Free, no sign-in needed.

How to log one

  1. Add an item and set Pricing to "Subscription · Per day".
  2. Enter the "Price per Period" and "Start Date", and under Every choose how often you're charged: every so many days, weeks, months or years.
  3. If there's a trial, turn on Trial Period; see how to get reminded before a free trial ends.
  4. Save.

See all your subscriptions

On Home, tap View at the top left and pick Subscription. They're lined up by next charge, with what you pay per month and per day at the top.

Compare monthly and yearly plans

Each one is brought down to a daily cost: price per period × charges per year ÷ 365.

Subscription Worked out Per day
9.99 a month 9.99 × 12 ÷ 365 about 0.33
99 a year 99 ÷ 365 about 0.27

If some are charged in dollars and others in euros, turn on Multi-Currency and totals are converted into your main currency at each charge day's rate; see how Coday converts between currencies.

Price changes and cancelling

  • Price went up or down: tap "Edit price" on the item's page and choose which period the new price starts from. Earlier charges stay as they were.
  • Not renewing: cancel where you subscribed first, then in Coday edit the item, set Status to "Retired" and enter the Cancellation Date. The average stops on that day and renewal reminders stop.

Renewal reminders

By default 3 days before, at 9 AM. To change it, tap the Renewal reminder, or tap it under You → Reminders, which also lists every upcoming charge in date order.
